Street Team Assistants

The Street Team Assistants are responsible for telling audiences about the shows and attractions at Edinburgh’s Christmas, ensuring that information and print materials are up to date and readily available around our sites, liaising with the Front of House and Box Office teams to make sure they have the information they need, looking after signage on site, and other on-site marketing-related requirements as they may arise. They will meet lots of people and therefore must be strong communicators and salespeople. As well as this, they are there to answer any questions that the public may have. You should be friendly, confident, good with people and able to take initiative. There’s no sitting at desks involved in the job so you should be good on your feet, have a confident manner and big voice, and be willing to scramble to action at a moments’ notice.

Dates of work: 14 November 2017 – 10 January 2018 inclusive.

CONDITIONS: You may be required to work Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year’s Day. If you are unable to work any of these days, please let us know at time of application. Pay is £7.50 per hour, plus a £0.50 bonus with the performance bonus scheme (to qualify for the bonus scheme you just need to turn up on-time for all your shifts and fulfil your duties). Time and half will be paid on Boxing Day, the late shift on New Year’s Eve and on New Year’s Day.  You should be able to work for the entire period. You will need to be over 18 and find your own accommodation within Edinburgh as we do not provide any staff accommodation.
