Toilet Attendant and Site Cleaning Staff
Our cleaning staff are responsible for the maintenance of the site throughout the festival. Jobs include mopping toilets, emptying rubbish bins, litter-picking, and a range of other tasks necessary to keep the site presentable. You will be on your feet all day and the work will often be strenuous, occasionally a bit unpleasant, so not only must you be physically up to it but you should have a cheery, willing disposition. You should be happy to muck in with any task that the bar managers or site managers ask you to do. You will often be required to answer questions and provide assistance to members of the public, and must therefore also have strong customer service skills.
Dates of work: 14 November 2017 – 10 January 2018 inclusive.
CONDITIONS: You have to commit to working New Year's Eve daytime and evening. You may be required to work Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. If you are unable to work any of these days, please let us know at time of application. Pay is £7.50 per hour, plus a £0.50 bonus with the performance bonus scheme (to qualify for the bonus scheme you just need to turn up on-time for all your shifts and fulfil your duties). Time and half will be paid on Boxing Day, the late shift on New Year’s Eve and on New Year’s Day. You should be able to work for the entire period. You will need to be over 18 and find your own accommodation within Edinburgh as we do not provide any staff accommodation.
