The Homecoming 2009 Art Car Parade

A first for Scotland, this electrifying spectacle will feature illuminated customised vehicles of all shapes and sizes being pushed, pedalled and driven from the Royal Mile to St Andrews Square Gardens. Produced by artists from all over the country, the line-up will feature an ice palace, a dragon car, a fish mobile, a crazy ‘hall of mirrors’ vehicle and many more eccentric creations. The event marks the culmination of the year’s Homecoming activity as well as a one-off element within the Sparkle into Christmas four days of events.
If you want to get up close and personal, from 3pm the cars will be on display at Parliament Square before setting off for the stunning stage show finale at St Andrew Square Gardens where there will be events as part of the Homecoming Finale Weekend.
