The National Library of Scotland is Scotland’s largest library. Learn more about the Library and the history of the building through displays and guided tours including a visit to the ‘void’, an underground space below George IV Bridge which is rarely seen. Tours will take place at 10.00, 12.00, 2.30 and will last approximately 1 hour. Spaces for tours are limited so will be allocated on a first come basis. Wheelchair access is only available on the ground floor.
Guided behind-the-scenes tours (limited spaces at 10.00, 12.00 14.30), displays documenting the history of the building and its social and cultural significance, Christmas merchandise available in shop, festive snacks available in our cafe, general free exhibitions.
