3 December - The Victorian Schoolroom, 11am - 4pm

The building is of little interest. What is fascinating is what is contained within: a fully functioning Victorian Schoolroom complete with old wooden desks, blackboards, slates, the tawse, finger stocks and cutty stool and other items. Come and write a letter to Santa with an old split nib pen and ink in the classroom, or see how the Victorians decorated their homes for Christmas in our museum room where many of our household exhibits can also be handled or used. You can also enjoy some Victorian-style Christmas fare.

Costumed guides available to answer questions, mini lessons once an hour on each half hour,  Victorian Christmas decorations, Victorian-style food, drink and gifts for sale.
