5th December Augustine United Church 9am - 5pm
Augustine United Church is an inclusive congregation of the United Reformed Church and was named after the early Christian theologian Augustine of Hippo. The congregation moved to George IV Bridge in 1861 where our four-storey building’s elaborate tower by Messrs Hay of Liverpool, possibly inspired by the Giralda tower of Seville Cathedral, was originally likened to a ‘bridescake’. In 2016, brand new multimedia resources have been created to retell our story and celebrate our community.
Enjoy festive refreshments as you learn about our heritage and present-day activities.
